38 year old female mother of 3 who was diagnosed with left breast cancer. Due to the location of the cancer being close to the nipple and the size of the tumor, patient was advised to undergo left breast skin sparing mastectomy. She elected to have the right breast remove as a precaution. Her breast reconstruction journey included
Surgery 1: bilateral breast mastectomy and immediate reconstruction using her own abdominal tissue.
Post surgery – patient was required to have left breast radiation
Surgery 2: Bilateral nipple areola complex reconstruction and aft grafting to both breast mounds.
