Description:
This is a 31 year old female with a history of left breast invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2 B. She required to undergo neoadjuvant chemotherapy prior to mastectomy.
She had bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy and 2 stage breast reconstruction.
Stage 1 – placement of tissue expander in subpectoral pocket and use of Alloderm – internal mesh for pocket control
Stage 2 – 3 months after the initial surgery with removal of tissue expanders and placement of permanent implant and fat grafting
