DESCRIPTION:

Patient is a 53 year old female with left breast cancer lobular and ductal carcinoma in situ of significant size (7 cm) and right breast fibrocystic changes. Due to the size of the tumor (8cm) and her breast size, she was recommended to have left breast skin sparing mastectomy and she also elected to have right breast prophylactic mastectomy. She has right breast tuberous breast deformity. She desires to be larger than her current breast size. This patient’s reconstruction journey included.

Stage 1: bilateral skin sparing mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with tissue expander in prepectoral pocket.

Stage 2: 4 months after stage 1 – bilateral breast tissue expanders removal and placement of permanent implants
