DESCRIPTION:

Patient is a 48 year old female mother of 4 children, who was diagnosed with left breast invasive ductal carcinoma and right breast atypical lobular hyperplasia. Given the location of the tumor being close to the nipple, the patient elected to have bilateral skin sparing mastectomy. Due to the metastatic tumor in the lymph node, patient was required to have radiation to her left breast and axilla. She desires to be larger than her native breasts The patient’s breast reconstruction journey involves the following


Surgery 1 – both breasts mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with tissue expander


Surgery 2 – took place after the patient finished with her radiation treatment – both breast reconstruction with DIEP flaps and implants – Hybrid breast reconstruction. Implant Natrelle SSLP moderate low profile 190 cc


Surgery 3 – nipple areola reconstruction and scar revision
